Our Mission
We are at a historical crossroads where threats to national security and environmental stability have converged. The rise of low-cost autonomous threats, such as drones, endangers physical safety, while environmental hazards like wildfires and water contamination threaten long-term viability.
Northstar Applied Research was founded to dismantle the silos between these domains. Operating under a "Dual-Use by Design" philosophy, we do not build separate products for the military and the commercial market. Instead, we develop Shared-Core Technologies—advanced AI sensor fusion and functionalized nanomaterials—that solve critical problems in both sectors simultaneously.
